Job Description
Job Title: Community Relation Officer
MAIN DUTIES
Carries out periodic community mobilization and sensitization including systems planning, design, construction, and management.
Carries out periodic training/orientation of WSMTs and operational staff on their defined roles.
Spearheads and establishes a Learning Alliance Platform for all stakeholders in assigned zone.
Carries out hygiene promotion for water safety and related environmental protection.
Provides orientation on tariff setting and periodic reviews.
Ensures the formulation and enactment of byelaws for the management and operations of the water system
Receives and addresses customer complaints and provides other customer relations services
Liaises with District and other relevant stakeholders on community mobilization issues
Supervises the activities of water vendors
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must have
A University Degree in the Social Sciences, preferably in Sociology or Psychology, Nursing, Public Health or an affiliated discipline.
Certificate in Public Health, Communication, Public Relations or Adult Education is an added advantage.
Good understanding of WASH management and challenges.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrable proficiency in the use of computers with the ability to present reports in at least ‘Word’ and ‘Excel’.
Proficiency in the language of the area of work
Satisfactory performance at a selection interview.
