Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Recording of financial transactions and results of operations in accordance with relevant international accounting standards (IAS) and internal needs of the university
Prepare periodic statutory returns and ensure compliance with relevant statutory regulations
Assist in costing all services of the university and account for and appraise projects Prepare year-end financial reporting procedures and the preparation of final accounts for and liaise with internal and external auditors
Supervise the preparation of payroll
Supervise accounting office staff
Terms: The terms and conditions for the position include a competitive remuneration package

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification/Eligibility:

A degree in Accounting from a recognized university plus a minimu of the equivalent of level III of Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) or similar a institution like ACCA, CIMA, CPA
Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience
At least one year would cover managerial experience, ideally in a public accountancy firm, a private/public sector institution or business enterprise of size similar to Data Link University College
Experience with financial information systems and awareness of developments in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
