The Diocesan Health Service (DHS) of the Catholic Diocese of Koforidua within the National Catholic Health Service (NCHS) and the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) networks wishes to announce the following vacancy as scheduled below:

Job Description

Job Title: Head Of Human Resources

Major Responsibilities/Duties:

• Forecasts, plans and assists in budgeting for human capital needs of the health facility or facilities
• Coordinates staff recruitment, promotion and separation processes
• Processes staff benefits
• Coordinates staff performance management as a function of hospital management teams
• Coordinates industrial relation issues including staff welfare, counseling, disciplinary and grievance procedures and ensuring the compliance of staff to rules and regulations of the organization
• Serves as coordinator of training needs of the organization and staff
• Develops and manages  data base of human resource capital in the organization
• May serves as a co-opted member of the organization’s management team

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE: National Catholic Health Service Conditions of Service

Required Skills or Experience

• A minimum of good bachelor’s degree in human resources management or social sciences (with bias in psychology or sociology with economics) from an internationally recognized institution
• Post-graduate training in human resources management from an internationally recognized institution is a plus
• The applicant must also have demonstrated excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and management skills.
• Preferably at least Five (5) years of practicing as a human resource manager in the health sector. Applicants with experience in the National Catholic Health Service (NCHS) are encouraged to apply

Other Requirements for Position 

• Applicants should preferably, but not compulsorily, be mechanized onto the Controller and Accountant General’s Department payroll of the Government of Ghana.
• He or she should be hardworking, team-spirited, results oriented and of integrity.
