Edukans seeks a highly motivated individual with exceptional leadership skills to become our Programme Officer.

Job Description

Job Title: Programme Officer

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Programme Development and networking

• Establish and maintaining partnerships with training institutions, NGO’s companies, umbrella organisations and governments
• Contribute to institutionalization and scaling up of Edukans models
• Programme development
• Relationship building with donors
• Fundraising for skills development programmes in Ghana

Advisory & training

• Provide training and advisory services on

Linking education to the market, mentioned
Training teachers and trainers on active teaching and learning

• Do acquisition for the advisory services mentioned
• (Further) develop tools and methodologies
• Set up and expand Edukans training (own training concept to youth)

Acquisition of students
Acquisition of masters, willing to train apprentices
Monitor progress


Programme Management

• Administration / budget keeping of skills programme as whole and individual projects
• Reporting

Targets on financial result, raised funds and days spent for constancy will be set on an annual basis.

Qualification Required & Experience

• At least Master’s with working, knowledge in Education, International Development, Economics or related field
• At least 7 years of experience in skills development
• Has proven track record in strengthening (agri) skills training
• Experience in involving private sector with TVET
• Brings a strong network within the skills and development arena, including government education, NGOs and private sector
• Proven experience on training, preferably training of trainers
• Competent in business/programme development services and fundraising
• Experience in programme management
• Experience working with small and medium-size enterprises will be an asset
• Experience in Agribusiness is an asset

Required Skills

• Experienced in working in an international team
• Proactive and able to work independent and results-oriented
• Strong communicator and network, able to represent Edukans Int to external stakeholders
• Fluent in English and major Ghanaian languages
• Willing to travel regularly (national, Africa, Europe)
