Our Client, a dominant player in the manufacturing sector-specializing in the manufacturing and installation of wire and fencing products – RIPPER Razor Coils, Stainless Steel Fencing Products, ABB Merlin Electric Barrier and Wire Chain Link Fencing.

Position Summary:

The Account Manager’s primary responsibility is to create and develop new and ongoing business relationships with our individual, and business client’s senior managers, technical supervisors, engineers and technicians to reduce their cost and risk of owning and maintaining wire and fencing products – with our unique, patented RIPPER Razor Coils, Stainless Fencing Products, ABB Merlin Electric Barrier and Wire Chain Link Fencing. The Account Manager works closely with our Production Unit and Outside Channel Sales

The Role will also Involve the following:
Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person, and via telephone calls and emails
Arranging meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales; gathering market and customer information
Representing the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
Negotiating on price and costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy
Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions
Liaising with production unit to check the progress of existing orders
Checking quantities of goods on display and in stocks
Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office
Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements
Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations
Feeding future buying trends back to employers
Attending team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues

Compensation Package:
The Compensation Package includes salary (based on experience and commissions (no cap)

Required Skills or Experience


A degree/HND from a recognised Institution, in any discipline
A two year post experience in a manufacturing and/or sales environment will be an added advantage
Good IT skills (MS Office)
Ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines
Good Communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work indepentently or as part of a team
Resilience and adaptability to unforeseen work demands
Personal enthusiasm and a drive to succeed
Willingness to accept responsibility
Reliability and integrity
Sound judgements with a commercial bias
Strong planning and organization skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities
