Job Description

Summary 
Esoko is changing how businesses manage smallholder farmers, suppliers and clients through the effective use of mobile/web innovations. We are currently developing an innovative solution that will enable farmers to save and borrow toward the purchase of discounted agro-inputs on our platform. A vital role in the success of this initiative is the M-Commerce Field Operations Manager, who will be responsible for all aspects of the field execution, including buyer and seller education and recruitment, stakeholder management with a broad range of partners, monitoring and evaluation, and quality assurance.

About the Role
Esoko is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Monitoring and Evaluations Specialist to lead the monitoring, evaluating and learning activities of an innovative mobile commerce and digital financial services solution in Ghana. This role calls for a combination of quantitative data management skills, Randomized Control Design (RCD) studies and Human Centric Designs (HCD) and surveys, strong M & E skills (including PMP designs, Indicator tracking and measurement, Detail Implementation Plan and reporting etc.) project management, marketing, business development, sales, strategy, and analytics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop appropriate baseline, project evaluation, benchmarks and data collection procedures
  • Conduct data analytics and business intelligence analysis of the m-commerce solution and provide results aimed at informing appropriate response to the program implementation
  • Lead learning studies and surveys  such as market research, RCD and HCD studies of the innovative m-commerce solution
  • Ensures that project interventions reflect best practices in business service delivery and group capacity building.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Esoko partners on the design and development of baseline data, survey methodologies, focus group methodologies and designing and implementing M&E systems
  • Monitor partner’s commitment to project goal and objectives. E.g. monitor the commitment of various partners such as input dealers on various aspects of the program.

Required Skills or Experience

  • At least five years of experience in performing M&E  of complex field implementation
  • Experience in mobile or e-commerce strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Agricultural Economics, Business, Agribusiness, Social Sciences; Data analytics etc. required.  Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Obsessed with user experience and customer satisfaction
  • Quantitative – you are comfortable with numbers
