Esoko is an award-winning market information platform across 9 African countries that allows farmers, traders, projects and businesses to use mobile phones to manage their businesses and improve access to markets. The software and support is developed in Accra at BusyLab, and we’re looking for smart and dynamic people to join our team, build our product and support our expansion

Job Description

To coordinate the different technical functional teams and drive the process of developing and maintaining software products, ensuring collaboration between teams and delivery on time

To manage 30 people across 4 teams (quality assurance; systems; engineering; product development)
To create and manage a software engineering process that reaches from ideas all the way to release
To support systems administration, web application development and database administration
To implement training programmes for developers
To ensure that operations adhere to best industry practices and meet international ISO standards
To release world class software that operates on many servers in multiple countries
To contribute to the product vision and help set priorities for development
To manage bugs ticketing system and tracking

Required Skills or Experience

Have significant experience managing software developers and release cycles
Possess good communication, people management and leadership skills
At least a BSc Computer Science or its equivalent
At least 5 years of relevant work experience
Possess knowledge in jAVA, PHP, SQL, J2ME, Android
Be interested in mobile/web for Development
