Founded in 2010, Exponential Education is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that works with students in developing countries, helping them improve their learning levels and empowering them to become successful, socially conscious future leaders.
To date, Exponential Education has worked with over 45 schools throughout the eastern and central region of Ghana, and, to date, the program has now given over 45 college scholarships, provided over 225 high school students with tuition assistance, and given free tutoring in math and English to over 1125 junior high students. Combined with our other initiatives, Exponential Education has a total reach of over 2000 children.
Our organization is comprised of multiple initiatives, including our well-known Exponential Education Peer to Peer programs, our newly established Girls Leadership, Engagement, Action Program (LEAP), and Expo NEWTS. This term, we will be piloting a new boy’s program in order to address gender inequality more wholesomely.
Program: The aim of the club is to sensitize boys to recognize social norms underlying gender inequality and empower them to become agents of change by challenging these norms. The club will cover the topics of masculinity and violence with a focus on gender-based violence, power and relationships, gender roles and gender stereotyping, and life skills, such as how to deal with and express our feelings. The goal is to work towards eliminating gender inequalities that hold back the development of our communities and nation, while also freeing boys of the restraints that masculinities can create, so they, too, can lead happier and healthier lives.

Job Description
Job Title: Program Facilitator
Position Description: The BPC Facilitator will help Exponential Education Program Associates run the Boy’s Club once a week. He will take the lead during the sessions and act as a role model to the boys. He is also expected to help the Program Associate complete weekly reports. The Facilitator should:
Location: Antoa SHS
Length of Position: The Facilitator will be appointed for this term (September-December)
Time Commitment: Sessions will be held one day per week after school. Each session will be 1.5 – 2 hours, plus transportation time. He will also be required to attend weekly meetings, held after the session, as well as submit weekly reports.
Support: Training for this position will be provided by Exponential Education.

This opportunity is ideal for a recent SHS graduate waiting for his exam results before going to University, or for a young male looking to gain experience in the NGO sector. The time commitment for this job isn’t too much, so the individual could be attending University or working another job at the same time, so long as it does not conflict with program times.
