One of the most important financial services provided by a financial institution is acting as a financial intermediary. Most financial institutions are regulated by the government.

A reputable financial institution is seeking to hire a professional in the capacity of Credit Officer.

Job Description

Job Title: Credit Officer.

The Credit Officer shall perform the following duties:

Gather, compile data and prepare reports for management

Analyze financial data regarding loan requests for new, renewal and existing loans including data provided by credit bureaus, other financial institutions, and other financial institutions files.

Prepares spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for financial institutions officers on new, renewal and existing loans.

Works with examiners and third party vendors.

Performs credit inquiries for the financial institution as requested.

Recommendations for credit rating

Approval authority based on experience

Researches background documentation and reviews personal and business financial statements and tax returns.

Analyzes financial information and prepares the preliminary analysis for the lender.

Ability to interpret tax returns, public and private corporations financial statements and input financial data into computer generated spread model

Assist in preparing and conducting loan presentations for the Board of Directors and bank presentations

Track and review interim and annual financial information on existing customers.

Maintains the privacy of customer information and the security of all records.

Adheres to organizational policies and procedures

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years working experience in the same position as Credit Officer specifically in the banking industry.
2. He/She must be between the ages of 25-35 years of age
3. A minimum of HND in Banking and Finance
4. The candidate must live close to the Graphic Road-Accra or it’s environs

Skills

He/She should be fluent in Ga and Twi language and must be ready to start work immediately.
Candidate must be able to drive with a valid driver’s license
Should have good communication skills both written and verbal.
Must be sure to have worked in the same position as a Credit Officer
He/She must be a good team player and be ready to work as a team.Remuneration: Very Attractive with other incentives.
