The University of Health and Allied Sciences, hereby, invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Transport Officer and Senior Assistant Transport Officer to take effect from 1^st November, 2016.

Job Description

Job Title:  Transport Officer

Reporting to: Director of Works

TRANSPORT OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Lead the process of developing a transport policy for the University;
2. Manage the Transport Unit to, among others, streamline the processes for
   1. maintenance of University vehicles;
   2. monitoring of the fuel use of vehicles;
   3. monitoring of the use of University vehicles, and;
   4. training and development of University Drivers and Fleet staff.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidate must have either:

1. A Higher National Diploma or its equivalent and in addition the candidate must have Ten (10) years practical experience in a position of responsibility within a large transport organization. OR
2. A relevant Bachelor’s degree awarded by a recognized University with at least Eight (8) years working experience.
3. Candidate must be computer literate.
