Futures Group has deep expertise in policy and advocacy, research and strategic information, health markets and private sector engagement, modeling and economic analysis, patient monitoring and management/HMIS, strategic consulting, and program management.

Position Summary

The USAID-funded Health Policy Project (HPP) managed by Futures Group is seeking a Program Advisor in Ghana. HPP is seeking a person with quantitative skills to support costing and research activities, as well as computer modeling (or with willingness to learn modeling).

Key Responsibilities

• The candidate will be responsible for implementation of day-to-day activities in Ghana in close collaboration and consultation with Futures HQ and the Ghanaian partners. • Assist Futures Group in complying with legal and operational issues related to work in Ghana. • In consultation with Futures Group HQs team, hire a local administrative assistant. • Implement and monitor day-to-day activities as per HPP’s work plan (pending approval) in close collaboration with Futures HQ and Ghanaian partners. • Coordinate closely with Ghanaian stakeholders including government agencies and health partners to implement Futures Group implemented project activities in Ghana. • Provide technical assistance to Futures Group implemented project activities in Ghana. • Any other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have 5-10 years of experience in health programs and preferably possess a graduate degree (MPH or other). • Candidate should have excellent knowledge of policies and programs in the fields of HIV/AIDS, family planning and reproductive health, including stigma reduction, in Ghana. • The candidate must be flexible and a team player with good communication skills, including writing skills. • Candidates must be authorized to work in Ghana.
