Genser Energy Inc. is an Independent Power Producer (IPP) based in the British Virgin Islands with operations in Africa. It specializes in providing custom engineered turn-key distributed generation energy solutions for clients in the mining, manufacturing, and utilities. Genser engages in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) as well as operation and maintenance (O&M) of its power generation plants and sells electricity and/or steam to clients. Job Title: Sr. HR & Administrative Associate
Senior Human Resource (HR) & Administrative Associate Position
The Snr. Human Resources & Administrative Associate will oversee the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions, working closely with the Organizational Development Manager. The position focuses on the accomplishments of HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, performance, and the development of a superior workforce. The Snr. HR & Admin. Associate will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: HRIS, employee relations, training & development, benefits, compensation, organization development, executive administration, and recruitment, with responsibilities in the following areas:
Responsibilities
• Responsible for recruitment and staffing of facilities
• Drive performance management and improvement tracking systems
• Oversee employee orientation, development, and training logistics and recordkeeping
• Manage employee relations
• Coordinate the development of a superior workforce and ongoing personal development of employees
• Oversee employee development and an organizational culture that emphasizes quality and high performance
• Implement and drive effective company-employee communication
• Oversee compensation and benefits administration, payroll and recordkeeping
• Liaise with Health and Safety Department to ensure employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting
• Maintain all employee files and the HR filing system via BambooHR
• Oversee day-to-day efficient operations in the HR Department
Qualifications
· Bachelor Degree in HR, Psychology, Management Studies or related courses; Masters a plus
· Minimum 4+ years experience in Organization Development, HR & Administration, or related field required
· Fluency in English compulsory; Proficiency in French and/or Spanish preferred
Competencies
· Experience in developing, implementing and managing benefits & compensation programs
· Knowledge and understanding of developing & implementing adult education and/or training programs
· Ability to plan, multi-task, process and analyze, lead and direct the work of others efficiently
