Ghana AIDS Commission Jobs 2018

The Ghana AIDS Commission is a supra-ministerial and multi-sectoral body established under the Chairmanship of H. E The President of the Republic of Ghana by Act 613, 2002 of Parliament. Its mandate is to provide support, guidance and leadership for the national response to the HIV and AIDS pandemic.

As portrayed in its institutional motto, “Working actively and in partnership to combat HIV and AIDS”, the Commission collaborates and works closely with a wide-range of organizations including development partners in carrying out its mandate of management and co-ordination of HIV and AIDS activities in the country. It provides funding support to Ministries, Departments, Agencies (MDAs), non-gevernmental organizations (NGOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), private sector enterprises, faith-based organizations (FBOs) and other civil society organizations to undertake HIV and AIDS activities in the country.

Job Description

Job Title: IT Officer

Objective of Position

• To provide operational support for the efficient and effective I. T Services of the Commission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the installation of IT equipment and systems
• Supervise the repair, upgrading and maintenance of IT equipment, systems and resources
• Provide technical support for IT infrastructure and systems
• Recommend, inspect and validate newly procured IT equipment and systems
• Compile and monitor IT warranties and service level agreements with IT solution providers

Required Skills or Experience

Direct Entry

• A minimum of a first degree in BSc Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognised university.
• A minimum of 3 years of post qualification relevant working experience.
• Must pass an interview ‘conducted by the Ghana AIDS Commission with the
• participation of the Public Services Commission.
