Ghana Civil Aviation Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the under-mentioned vacancy in the Human Resource Department of the Authority.

Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the incumbent will ensue that all the various functions/tasks are performed as indicated below.

The incumbent will perform the following functions:

  1. Hand matters relating to employees staffing and de-staffing
  2. Conduct induction and orientation programmes for newly employed
  3. Responsible for compensation and benefits administration
  4. Responsible for updating and supporting job evaluation programmes
  5. Coordinate Career Development and succession planning programmes
  6. Handle issues concerning employee relation and industrial relation
  7. Handle Authority-wide committee facilitation as it relates to human resource
  8. Co-ordinate performance management and improvement systems
  9. Support the DHR in policy development and documentation
  10. Assist the department in key aspect of HR management

 

Required Skills or Experience

THE PERSON:
The applicant must have:

Essential:

Advertisement
  • Possess a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Humanities, Arts or the Social Science from a recognized university accredited by the National Accreditation Board.

Desirable:

  • Have Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or Industrial Relations and Psychology
  • Possess Professional certification by the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners or equivalent would be considered an advantage
  • The applicant must have at least eight (8) years working experience with five (5) years in a Management Capacity

Knowledge:

  • The applicant must Possess general knowledge of the Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651) and other employment laws and practices in Ghana
  • The applicant must have excellent organisational skills, effective oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and coaching skills, excellent computer skills in Microsoft windows environment and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping

Abilities:
The applicant must have:

  • Have the ability to work with various departments and foster team work
  • Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Possess evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
