1. MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR

The Mechanical Construction Supervisor shall be responsible for facilitating and supervising mechanical workers on site. The role reports to the Project Manager.

Role Specific Requirements:

Directs the activities and checks the works of contractors involved in mechanical construction works
Prepares monthly progress report for management
Ensures that all materials used in production meet specified diameters
Provides guidance, advice and instruction to ensure that all installations meet company approval
Advises Site Manager on any threats to schedule for the completion of installation activities

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum Qualification:

Degree in engineering from a recognized university
5 years work experience in site management
Good oral and written communication
Strong IT background in MS suite

2. TOPOGRAPHER

The Topographer shall be responsible for generally surveying and mapping sites during construction. The position reports to the Chief Engineer.

Role Specific Requirements:

Inspects final compositions to ensure completeness and accuracy
Determines map content and layout, including specifications such as scale, size, colour and projection
Compiles data required for map preparation, i.e. survey notes, records, reports among others
Revises existing maps and charts making the necessary corrections and adjustments
Build and update digital database
Determines guidelines which specify which information is
Studies legal documents to establish boundaries of local, national and international properties

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum Qualification:

4 years relevant work experience as civil project engineer
Experience in industrial large projects, preferably desalination, water or energetic ones (electrical plants)
Qualification in engineering
Good oral and written communication
Strong IT background in MS suite

3. DRAUGHTSMAN

The Draughtsman shall be responsible for producing mechanical, technical and architectural drawings as well as maps. The position reports to the Chief Engineer.

Role Specific Requirements:

Designs equipment utilizing machine design principles, machining, welding, casting, and other fabrication techniques.
Develops preliminary sketches, layout, assembly and detail drawings of machines
Keeps accurate records of all drafts
Programs drawings into automated system for storage and future alterations where necessary
Prepares report for project manager when requested
Keeps accurate records of all designs and drawing

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum Qualification:

3 years relevant work experience as draughtsman in project office
Experience in industrial large projects, preferably desalination, water or energetic ones (electrical plants)
Qualification in engineering
Good oral and written communication
Strong IT background in MS suite
