FAIRTRADE GHANA NETWORK (FGN) is a not-for-profit organization committed to providing a platform for all Fair Trade certified producer organizations in Ghana. The Network seeks to promote opportunities to support the growth of product specific networks, influencing national trade policies, forming strategic partnerships and providing capacity building to strengthen the work of the network and the producer organizations.
Job Description
Job Title: Network Coordinator
The network seeks, in accordance with its constitution, to recruit a dynamic and self-motivated person to manage its secretariat and coordinate the activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and regularly update all records of the membership of the network
- Perform accounting tasks and keep track of budget and expenditures and reconcile bank statements every month.
- Organize, arrange and coordinate all meetings, symposia, and conferences of the network
- Create and keep a good filing system for the Network.
- Manage the day to day operation of the secretariat.
- Schedule meetings and travel arrangements for the executive and members of the network
- Develop and maintain a database of potential buyers, markets for products of members of the Network.
- Maintain and update the organization’s social media platforms regularly
- Identify other sources of funding and projects for the Network.
Salary range: GHC 1,500 -2,000
TENURE
The position is for 1 year. It is a service contract subject to renewal based on satisfactory performance.
Required Skills or Experience
- Must be a Bachelor degree holder.
- Experience in Project management.
- At least 4 years working experience preferably with a producer Network or international organization.
- Experience in office management with proven experience as an administrator and familiar with office management procedures
- Have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Have excellent organizational skills
- Have very good skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, digital marketing skills.
