The Ghana Maritime Authority invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to the following position

Job Description

Job Title: Boat Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment of speed boat’s engines
• Installation of required machinery and carrying our periodic upkeep of boat
• Performing any other duties that may be assigned

Working Environment

• Field based with occasional visits to Authority’s Branch office at Tema and Takoradi

Qualification Required & Experience

Suitable candidates for the position of Boat Mechanic must

• Possess WASSCE or GCE Ordinary (“O”) Level certificate
• Possess Marine Engine Mechanic certificate or obtained training in boat engine mechanics
• Must have 5 years working experience
• Must be 18 years of age or above
• Must meet medical requirements

Candidates with basic safety training be at an advantage

Location: Tema and Takoradi
