Ghana National Gas Company (Ghana Gas) is a Limited Liability Company with the mandate to build, own and operate the infrastructure for gathering, processing and delivering natural gas to industry in safe, cost effective, responsible and reliable manner.

Job Description

Job Title: Operational Auditor 

Reports To: Audit Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with functional heads of departments responsible for operations, supply chain and projects to develop and or undertake periodic review of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for core or support activities.
Undertake cost review of goods, services and works.
Execute assigned audits to identify potential issues, areas for improvement, and formulate recommended actions through review of documentation and client inquiry. .
Review procedures to ensure Job Safe Practices are operating efficiently to minimize or eliminate risks of hazards.
Undertake a resource audit of each work process or activity and evaluate whether resources are adequate and whether operators are properly trained to handle assigned tasks.
Perform work measurement studies by observing and reviewing process steps with employees.
Undertake any other duties that may be assigned.
Other:
Travel: 10-30% of travel will be required to the Operational Sites.

Required Skills or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited tertiary institution.
Master’s degree in finance (e.g. MBA/MSc Finance) or professional qualification.
3-5 years’ work experience in a similar role.
Industrial engineering in the mining or oil & gas sector will be a plus.

Proficient in at least one of the following areas: Cost Engineering, Project Management, Commercial Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing.
