Reporting to the President of the University, the Registrar serves as the University’s Chief Administrative Officer responsible for the University’s institutional strategic planning, policy formulation and administration of the offices within the Registry including Student Admissions, Examinations & records, Human Resources, Student Affairs and General Administration

He/she is responsible for managing the terms and requirements of its partners and stakeholders
The Registrar shall serve as Secretary to the University Council and all key boards and committees
Terms of Appointment:
The appointment, which is full-time shall be for four (4) years in the first instance and may be subject to renewal for another two (2) years, altogether making a maximum of six (6) years. The candidate may opt to be a faculty member after serving the six- year term before attaining the statutory retiring age of 60
Salary and fringe benefits attached to the post are very attractive
Required Skills or Experience

Must have a minimum of Master’s degree with distinguished academic and industry leadership record as well as the capacity to motivate and guide the leadership, faculty and staff
Should be able to market and recruit a growing number of high-caliber students, drive forward the University’s excellence in teaching whilst accelerating its research capacity and enhance student outcomes in all respects
Should be able to support the Faculty in the following functions: development and implementation of the faculty’s strategic plan and programmes aligned with the mission and vision of the University College – curriculum development and review, course scheduling, teaching, assessment and degree conferment, faculty and infrastructure development, budgeting, building partnerships with external entities that advance the Faculty and the University’s mission and vision, initiating and managing programme accreditation
Must possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills and capacity to manage and control crisis situations
Must be able to ensure compliance with academic regulatory bodies such as the National Accreditation Board
Must be able to manage all affiliations and collaborations
Must be visionary, business-oriented and able to establish rapport between industry and the University
Must have at least ten (10) years working experience in a tertiary institution, five (5) of which should have been in leadership positions such as Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Faculty Dean or Head of Department or an analogous position
Must have solid leadership and managerial skills, ICT orientation, strong public relations skills as well as international exposure and multi-cultural skills
Must be able to attract grants and funds for Research and Development for the Faculty, Staff and University
Must be able to serve a full four-year term of office before attaining the compulsory retiring age of sixty (60) years
