Job Description

Ensure that adequate preparations are made for the Board of Directors meetings and that legal responsibilities and obligations of the Board are efficiently and effectively fulfuilled.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepares agenda and working papers for regular and special Board of Director’s meeting
Advises Board of Directors on likely legal effects of its decisions
Drafts all legal documents for the Board
Studies, signs and seals contractual agreements between individuals groups of person and the Board
Advises the Board as to its legal rights and obligations
Ensures that the Board of Director’s directives are properly communicated to appropriate departmental heads
Supervises all staff in the legal department
Other legal work to be assigned by the Board of Directors from time to time

Required Skills or Experience

The ideal candidate must possess LLB degree
Must have enrolled as a Lawyer in Ghana
Must have a minimum of Ten (10) years post qualification experience in a Legal field and at least five (5) years of which must be at management level
Entry level will depend on past Experience

Competencies:
Must have leadership, managerial capacity and the ability to work with the Board’s clientele
Must have the capacity to work with the Board of Directors
Must be able to work productively for long and sustained hours
Must have effective oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact with people at all levels
