Ready to plan and manage the marketing activities of assigned brands, NPIs, propose and implement activities to achieve sales, profit and market share targets within agreed budgets.
Prepare and obtain approval for annual Brand Marketing Plans and implement the plans with the overall objective of achieving sales, profit and market share targets.
Propose, commission and analyse relevant market research, both quantitative and qualitative, in order to identify new market opportunities and achieve brand objectives.
Review product formulation, packaging and competitive activities to meet consumer expectations in terms of quality and efficacy and ensure cost efficiency.
Initiate new product development ideas and lead assigned development projects in order to achieve short and mid-term profitable brand growth.
Recommend, implement and monitor advertising and promotional activities within agreed budget limits to maximize sales and build brand equity.
Maintain good relationships with internal staff and business associates especially sales, advertising agencies and research agencies to ensure achievement of marketing objectives.
Acquire and constantly improve on the knowledge of the science of assigned brands in order to gain competitive advantage.
Required Skills or Experience
Familiarity with the basic principles and theories of Marketing
Good mastery of the business environment and how it impacts on the organization.
Knowledge of the workings of the organisation and its departments
Adequate knowledge of the measurement of brand performance (Performance Indicators)
Negotiation and influencing Skills
Interpersonal and communication skills
Computer literate (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Trade and Consumer marketing activations
