Job Description

Job Title: Lead Generator

Responsibilities

To deliver exceptional retail business performance through specific product sales, excellent related customer servicing and transactional processing, while maintaining quality (impairment) in a Direct Sales Environment.
Drive and deliver exceptional sales performance by identifying and meeting customer needs through selling & cross selling of Specific Retail Products & Services.
Own and manage personal product & channel sales targets to contribute towards own sales objectives.
Identify when & where to refer customers to an appropriate area of delivery for specialist sales help or advice.
Identify cross –sell opportunities when making customer contact so as to maximize the customer value from each interaction.
Deliver world class customer service practices and ensure adherence to Barclays Service standards.
Own customer queries and complaints by forwarding all complaints received to the appropriate branch for action.
Achieve operational rigour excellence in all aspects of procedures and processes undertaken to ensure 100% compliance.
Minimise potential for fraudulent applications by following each product criteria.
Ensuring that impairment is well below the recommended standard given by the bank from time to time.
Ensure compliance with operations risk & rigour requirements e.g. Health & Safety standards and security of premises.
Build effective relationships with team members and retail support staff as well as key support functions.
Share knowledge experience and best practice with other team members.
Provide honest, direct and constructive feedback to others
Agree performance development objectives with the team leader.
Pursue self development to increase personal effectiveness, acknowledging strengths and areas for development.
Utilise your time to achieve your stated bank objectives while avoiding conflict of interest.

Requirements

An HND or a degree from a recognised university or equivalent professional qualification.
Excellent Planning & Organisation skills

Identification of customer needs

A thorough understanding of the sales process
Training knowledge of the procedure manuals
A good training knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation e.g. KYC, Money laundering, banking code, service standards, health & safety standards etc.
A thorough knowledge of the bank’s tariff, products and services
A thorough knowledge of the bank’s internal departments, systems & procedures as well as risk & rigour requirements.
A thorough knowledge of bank retail credit policy.
Up to date knowledge of competitor offering
A sound working knowledge of our competitors’ products & services
A high level of drive and determination
A passion for sales with to assist our customers meet their financial needs.
