Job Description:

Purpose of the Job:

The incumbent shall apply knowledge and experience to maintain earth moving equipment, power generators and other ancilliary equipment/plants and ensuring that faults are identified and repaired in a responsible, safe, efficient and effective manner for high equipment availability and reliability. He will also ensure that management systems,policies, procedures, standards are adhered to for uninterrupted mining

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertaking daily routine fault-tracing and maintenance of machines
• Understanding maintenance in a timeous manner to meet targets
• Executing daily routine work strictly according to Procedures and Standards
• Suggesting improved ways of performing tasks
• Maintaining a comprehensive record/file of applicable to standards and procedures
• Encouraging inputs from the work groups which lead to continuous improvement
• Carrying out responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner ensuring compliance with OHSAS I800I and ISO I400I requirements
• identifying and providing full reports on risks and hazards

Required Skills or Experience

Key requirements:

• Recognised National Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent qualification in Auto Electrical
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in Heavy auto electrical maintenance
• Experienced in safe lifting practices
• Ability to work for long hours
• Well developed oral and written communication skills
• Medical fitness for the position and environment
