Job Description
Job Title: Multi-skilled Miner (With experience in Alimak Mining)
Responsibilities
• Primary focus of this position is to be a development miner
• Incumbent would be expected to execute assigned tasks productively through multiskilling modern mining techniques
• Position will require a strong safety management focus and commitment.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Blasting certificate of competency issued by the Inspectorate Division of the Minerals commission
• 5 years of underground mining experience as a development miner using hand-held drills
• Must be proficient in ground support installation
• Should be a recognised and licensed LHD operator
• Must have knowledge in the installation of both compressed air and water pipes
• Should be a Rocker Shovel Operator
• Should be able to train and mentor others
• Should possess effective communication skills – both written and oral
• Should be prepared for a day shift and night shift rotation
• Must have high regard for safe work practices and procedures
• Should have experience in Alimak mining
