Job Description

Job Title: Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the whole accounting and reporting activities
• confirm financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating receivable collections and evaluation of accounting data
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines are met
• Maintain financial and accounting information security by maintaining internal control procedures within the Finance department.
• Support budget and forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with all statutory regulatory requirements
• Ensure clean and timely year-end financial statements and statutory audits respectively
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department and the company as a whole
• Performs other duties as assigned or required by Head of Administration and Managing / Country Director

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or any other business related studies
• Computer literacy with excellent MS Suite
• Proficiency in Double Entry and QuickBooks or any other accounting software will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years in Finance, Accounting and other related field
• Prior experience in interacting effectively with auditors
• Familiar with the laws and regulations that govern organisations in Ghana
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Fluent in English speaking
