Job Description

Job Title: 2016 Recruitment Exercise

Job Purpose

This is a senior management role and the incumbent would responsible for taking ownership and driving the Medium Enterprise strategy of the Bank.

He/She is expected to drive team performance as determined by the agreed performance metrics


Would be directly responsible for managing the Commercial & SME Banking clients and building and sustaining the relationships.

The incumbent would be required to manage the governance and inherent risk in the Medium Enterprise segment

Key Requirements

  • Good first degree with strong banking and technical skills training
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Commercial & SME Banking
  • Very good Credit Management skills.
  • Experience in a corporate banking environment an added advantage
  • Strong strategic and business acumen- understanding of what drives business and risk
  • Proven track record in driving performance, leadership and people development
  • In-depth knowledge of products, services and delivery channels
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Good networking and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organisation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in developing annual strategic and tactical plans towards a sustainable growth model
  • Strong managerial and coaching skills
  • Committed individual with pleasant interpersonal attributes and strong negotiation skills
  • Exercise good judgment and professional discretion at all times
  • Must be capable of working in a high-pressured working environment

Key Result Areas

  • Keep abreast with latest Commercial and SME trends
  • Have a culture of accountability work positively with business units to eliminate blame culture
  • Effectively manage portfolio with the aim to grow deposits, revenue, increase number of active accounts and transactional volumes

Information Security Responsibilities

  • Abide by the bank’s ISMS (Information Security Management Systems) policies and procedures
  • Safeguard the bank’s information assets in accordance with its ISMS policies and procedures
