This requires, therefore, a seasoned commercial leader, able to deal with the differing complexities of the challenges being faced, leading “create” on global brands and leading the innovation agenda on new brands for Diageo in Africa.
Job Title: Innovation Commercialisation Executive
Reporting into the Innovation Commercial Manager, this role is accountable for translating Diageo’s innovation pipeline into a commercial reality and launching to perfection.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Ability to work with ambiguity and at pace with multiple projects.
Polished and engaging presentation and selling skills – You must have sufficient gravitas to present to and influence key customers at a senior level internally and externally.
Execution Excellence: You must be able to manage execution of plans brilliantly through other people and teams, demonstrate smart KPI setting, clear measurement controls along with execution insight and course correction.
Influencing Skills – You must be able to build great relationships and collaboration across the business hierarchy and within channels to be able to move with pace.
Resilience & Emotional Energy – You need to be able to motivate and energise yourself in the face of challenges and adversity to find ways forward
SCOPE OF ROLE
Innovation is critical part of our P&L and growing –Without it we will not succeed. As such there is full internal commitment and intensity to deliver and accelerate the innovation momentum. You will lead the commercialisation of Innovation projects, delivering required project expectations and value gains as per strategic plan as defined in the project’s objectives/KPI’s e.g. Volume, %GM, NSV and CAAP

Best in class launches and Nurture plans – our execution is the envy of our peers – we are called out as best in class. You will work with a cross-functional team of brand, activation and front line sales personnel to lead excellent launch, nurture and exit plans, and identify and lead interventions when needed and ensure we deliver our AOP and beyond.
