Communications Manager (Job Number: 27555BR)

Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Corporate Relations Director – You will be required to:

  • Manage a comprehensive external as well as an Employee Engagement and internal communications strategy that directly supports the business strategy, vision and values and uses a range of appropriate tools that are measurable
  • Build strong relationship with all functions in particular Human Resources and members of the Ghana Leadership Team (GLT)
  • Take responsibility for the implementation and monitoring of existing and new communications initiatives in line with internal and external plans to engage our people, our partners, opinion makers and stakeholders
  • Monitor effectiveness and impact of all GGBL communication activities and recommend improvements

Required Skills or Experience

  • Qualification in public relations, marketing or journalism at degree level or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience working at a strategic level on organization or business related communications or public relations. Proven track record in the development and implementation of communications strategies
  • Proven track of ensuring effective internal communications. Proven experience of working with the media in Ghana

Required Skills or Experience

  • Degree educated

  • Implement regional events as per national cycle plan
  • Implement approved ad hoc events and promotions in line with brand and portfolio objectives
  • Prioritise ad hoc events based on regional business objectives
  • Provide relevant feedback through agreed processes and templates on event and initiative efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage the allocated project budget and resource for each initiative where applicable

  • Manage the performance agreements of suppliers/agencies to ensure quality service delivery through on-going evaluation

  • Contribute to the overall development of the capability & capacity of the Sales function and the career development of your team

  • Lead and contribute spirit category Game plans and sales driver activation plans into the overall Sales strategy
  • Ensure activity plan are sufficient to deliver on company’s objectives and regional sales team are fully supported for brilliant execution

  • Manage your team to partner with the fields sales force to ensure brilliant execution across trade
