Job Description

Job Title: Head Of Reserve

The purpose is to build and deliver the Reserve business’s short and medium terms goals through the full Guinness Ghana Breweries’ cross functional teams: the role is responsible for all aspects of the Reserve business – strategy development, customer partnership (building & influence), commercial planning, performance management (P&L accountable), supply forecasting and strategy / business delivery through direct team as well as the key players in On and Off Trade Channels.

Specifically, the role will need to nurture and build Reserve thinking into the sales and Brand Ambassador teams to achieve specific, targeted and measured objectives across the agreed Reserve universe of TLA/RLA and Premium accounts.
The role must work in partnership with the Reserve brand team (who report to Marketing) to ensure alignment on objectives and strategy with clear, focused Reserve brand plans designed to execute proven growth drivers at scale and accelerate growth.


The role must represent the interests & needs of the Reserve business across the wider organization.


  • First Degree Graduate Qualification – Business Related desirable though not essential (quality experience is more important than qualifications)


  • 7 – 10 years mid-senior leadership and execution experience in a similar role, either within an FMCG (incl drinks / luxury) environment or within the trade environment (eg hotel, bar or restaurant senior F&B experience)
  • Previous roles should have included cross functional experience particularly across commercial and marketing

Key Skills

  • Strong commercial and financial planning and decision-making skills including channel profitability and targeted trade investment Management
  • A passion for luxury and Reserve with an understanding of competitors, distributors and key customers:  their businesses and particularly their shoppers/consumers in the Reserve High net worth universe.
  • Exceptional relationship skills: proven ability to network externally and influence across functions and levels.
  • Authentic communicator with experience of working with external stakeholders; superior presentation skills
  • An expert coach and trainer of both functional and leadership capability development


Externally focused Commercial Strategy Development and Execution: Unlocks consumer and shopper insights to generate breakthrough performance
Relationship Management with key External and Internal stakeholders and Influencers : Skilled in developing customer collaboration and commitment, negotiating for win-win outcomes
