Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Brand Manager – Innovation


This role is accountable for Brand Equity, NSV & CAAP delivery for all the Guinness Brand within the GGBL portfolio. The role shapes the future strategic direction for the brands in the portfolio our business goals, ensuring sustainable profitable volume growth by exploiting current and new consumer opportunities in the total beverage alcohol market in Ghana. This role will need to form strong relationships with other members of the Marketing Leadership Team, IMC executives, Commercial and Innovations teams and other functions across the business. The role would also have coaching responsibilities for other Marketing resources to grow both functional and leadership capability within the function. To lead our innovation commercialization in market.

1-2 years + experience in marketing, innovation or customer marketing in spirits, fmcg or beer categories in emerging market environments.  Candidates should have had similar roles in peer companies.

  • Consumer Insight: Searches for new ways to connect with the consumer through a deeper understanding of consumer motivations.
  • Strategic Planning: Creates powerful plans and briefs, based on a deep understanding of the consumer and category, with a high focus on what will drive profitable growth
  • Creation: Leads and creates brand activity across ATL and BTL disciplines
  • Leads Execution: Clearly defines minimum execution standards and ruthlessly pursues delivery of this in all aspects of the consumers brand experience
  • M&E: Guides the business to select the most impactful growth drivers and stop all others.
  • Ruthlessly Prioritizes Manages the marketing agenda proactively – defining priorities, and spending time against those things while stopping or delegating everything else
