Haussmann is a leading pan African commercial Design & Build Company with offices in 7 countries in Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Mauritius, South Africa, Nigeria, Ivory Coast) and operational capacities in 10+ countries.

We design and fit offices for our clients like L’Oreal, Uber, Mitsubishi, Total, Nokia etc. across the continent.

The company aims to become the leading player in the workplace industry in Africa by 2020. To achieve this goal, we rely on geographic expansion and on the development of several new businesses (Corporate working spaces, Office search engine, etc.).

As part of its development, the Company is looking to hire a Country Lead – Ghana, reporting to the West Africa Cluster Manager.


Job Description

Job Title: Country Lead Ghana


  1. Business Development – Pre – project:
    1. Participate in Company general effort in generating sales leads
    2. Actively participate in building key strategy partnerships with local partners (brokers, property developers, professional service providers etc.)
    3. Take Client brief & brief internally the Ops team
    4. Present Proposal to Client (Concept Design, Space Planning, Costing, PoW etc.)
    5. Create, manage and update Country Price Database & Country Vendor Database in liaison with Commercial Manager
  2. During project:
    1. Compliance (Internal & External)
      • Approvals & Permits
      • Insurances
      • Health & Safety
      • Environmental
    2. Account Management:
      • Draft & Update Project Delivery Plan (Template)
      • Attend, Lead, Minute & Report Site Meetings (Internal & External)
      • Draft Client Weekly Progress Reports (Template)
    3. Time Management:
      • Draft Initial PoW
      • Manage process of Extension of Time (EoT)
      • Draft / Manage Revised / Updated PoW
    4. Cost & Contract Management:
      • Client:
        1. Draft & report preliminary & detailed costing
        2. Draft & Manage Project CF
        3. Manage VO process
        4. Draft & Manage Project budget
        5. Draft & Manage AFP & Invoice process
        6. Draft & Manage Contract process
        7. Manage Projects Accounts process
      • Vendors:
        1. Manage vendors tender process & recommend vendors
        2. Manage vendor appointment process
        3. Manage vendor contract process
        4. Manage vendor payment process (POs, AFPs etc.)
    5. Construction Management:
      • Daily Site Visit
      • Ensure the construction site is compliant with Company rules and local regulations
      • Ensure the progress on site
      • Ensure the quality of the construction
      • Ensure what is been built is what has been designed, specified & costed
    6. Quality Management:
      • Manage Quality Standards (Template) & Inspections (Checklist)
      • Manage Non-Conformity process
      • Manage Snagging process
  1. Post project:
    1. Manage Defects Liability Period
    2. Manage Reference Letter
    3. Draft & Implementation – Project Post Mortems & Lessons learned

  12. BSc or MsC in Interior Design / Project Management/ Construction Management / Quantity Surveying from a leading reputable university.
  13. Min 3/5 years’ experience in a leading QS / Design & Build / Project Management firm dealing with international clients.
