Hull Blyth Ghana: Assistant Shipping Manager

We are the largest independent ship agency group in West Africa, and are seeking an Assistant Shipping Manager to supplement our existing management team in Ghana.

Our business is very dynamic, and due to expansion there is an exciting opportunity to enter the expatriate environment, and to grow with the business.

We are looking for a Graduate or someone in the first stages of their career who is looking for an opportunity to take the first step on the expatriate management ladder.

This role will initially be under the guidance of one of our current Managers, but in due course you will take full responsibility for overseeing the day to day activities of a ship agency division. This will incorporate profit centre management, management of staff, and liaison with our overseas principals.

Some background in shipping or forwarding is a preferable, though candidates with other relevant disciplines will be considered. Experience of Africa, or another third world environment, is a distinct advantage.

This role will require good communication skills and the ability to manage people. Candidates must be extremely energetic, and be open to the challenges of working in a demanding environment. Candidates must be English speakers.

Competitive salary and full expatriate package. This position is single status.
