ICF, a global professional services firm, is immediately seeking Ghanaian professionals who have worked on environmental and climate change resilience issues to support a U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Integrated Resource and Resilience Planning (IRRP) project in Accra, Ghana.

ICF is seeking to expand its existing Accra, Ghana project team to provide technical assistance to both the Ghana Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Ministry of Environment Science Technology and Innovation (MESTI). The new environmental and climate change resilience experts will work closely with the Chief of Party and existing team members to design and manage several capacity building activities focused on advancing Ghana s implementation of its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC).

Job Title: Climate Resilience Specialist

In collaboration with the Ghana EPA and key energy sector stakeholders, the Climate Resilience Specialist will be responsible for providing support to climate change impacts and resilience assessments of Ghana s power sector, climate change training and learning objectives, monitoring of Ghana s climate commitments, and supporting the integration of climate change into environmental impact assessments. In collaboration with the Ghana EPA and key energy sector stakeholders, the Climate Resilience Specialist will be responsible for providing support to climate change impacts and resilience assessments of Ghana s power sector, climate change training and learning objectives, monitoring of Ghana s climate commitments, and supporting the integration of climate change into environmental impact assessments. This position requires a strong interest in interdisciplinary work and will include support for the development of reports, training curriculum and other educational materials, and the coordination of stakeholder meetings and workshops.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in the environmental field and have at least five years of experience related to climate risk management.

This full-time position will be based in Accra, Ghana. Hiring is contingent on funding approval by USAID/Ghana.
