Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG): HR Manager

The Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) was established by an Act of parliament, Act 170, in 1963.  It is the sole body charged with the regulation of the accountancy profession in Ghana.  Its members are the only persons recognized under the Companies Code (Act 179) 1963, for the purpose of audit of company accounts.  It is governed by a council of eleven chartered accountants.  The Council, headed by a President, holds office for a period of two (2) years.

Job description:

• Recruiting staff-developing job descriptions checking application forms, interviewing and selecting candidates
• Developing personnel policies on working conditions, performance management, disciplinary procedures and absence management
• Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
• Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude towards organizational objectives
• Analyzing training needs in conjunction with departmental heads
• To supervise the running of ICAG School and Revision Classes
• To supervise the management of the Institute’s properties

Remuneration: Very competitive and commensurate with the demands of the position

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum qualification is a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or Management/Psychology/Management Studies from a reputable university and
• At least five years post qualification with reputable organization in similar position
• Diploma in Education would be an added advantage
