Job Title: IT Manager

JOB BRIEF

We are looking for an IT Manager who will provide general oversight of the IT infrastructure, provisioning, planning, installation and operation. The selected candidate will be responsible for researching and planning for implementation of the most recent technologies in the industry as well as networking all the company’s IT infrastructure. Some of the tasks to be performed include managing the system hardware, operating systems, software, and procedures that adhere to the company’s values and goals. The overall role is to enable staff and partners to effectively work and minimize their time spent on IT issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide overall IT governance for the company
2. Plan, implement and monitor changes in infrastructure configurations
3. Install new servers and configure hardware
4. Plan and implement additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure company-wide in coordination with corporate leadership.
5. Oversee the implementation of network security at the corporate level.
6. Anticipates future network needs, identifies proactive solutions to satisfy needs.
7. Develop and maintain system standards
8. Perform daily backup operations
9. Perform system monitoring for network security purposes.
10. Oversee the planning and management of the company’s telephone system and manage company-wide upgrade efforts.
11. Develop best practices and written documentation for all server maintenance
12. Oversee the provisioning of the end-user services
13. Manage the financial aspect of IT development
14. Manage hardware and software vendor relationships

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience
• Certification in Operating systems e.g. Microsoft windows will be an added advantage.
