Technical Recruitment in Ghana

The Improving Food Safety Systems Project (IFSSP) in Ghana is a USAID program that aims to improve access to markets for Ghana’s farmers. The objective is to strengthen the sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) compliance system for Ghanaian fruits and vegetables to enable public and private sector collaboration for active growth in exports and sector productivity and profitability. IESC supports cooperation between Ghana’s public and private sectors to help establish a strong traceability system to identify when and where food safety and quality problems are introduced – at growing, harvesting, processing, or packaging. Drawing on IESC’s robust registry of about 7,000 highly skilled volunteer experts, IESC works with the Government of Ghana to strengthen the food safety compliance system for Ghanaian fruits and vegetables, starting with mangoes and chilies and trains private exporters and farmers on good agricultural practices.
