Job Description

Job Title: Store Officer

Summary of Position

To work with all departments to ensure adequate inventory of spare parts and materials are available for plant operations at all time, through proactive inventory management. Responsible for safe keeping, control, receipt and issue of material from stores with accurate record keeping.

General Duties:

• Ensure adequate inventory of spare parts and production material for plant operation
• To raise purchase requisition for materials in line with procedures, standing orders and financial regulations. Always ensuring requisitions meet the required standards
• Monitoring and ensuring purchase requisition is made when spare part stock reaches minimum level.
• Responsible for the preparation of good receipt note, ensuring items received meet the required standard and in good condition
• Periodic spare parts inventory and monthly stock taken with relevant departments
• Responsible to ensure items received at stores are kept in accordance to the storage conditions of manufacturer
• Ensure all items are properly coded and arranged for easy identification
• Responsible for issuing spare parts and items to relevant departments ensuring all issued items are properly and accurately recorded as required.
• Creating of material codes for spare parts and other materials related to production using SAP.
• Maintain housekeeping standard to ensure a clean and safe workplace
• Responsible for the safe keeping of spare parts and all items in the store.
• Will be required when necessary to assist maintenance team in planning and execution of jobs.

Other Duties

• Performs any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Departmental Relations

• Maintain contacts with all departments on matters concerning inventories and the smooth management of the stores.

External Relations

• Follow up on suppliers to ensure timely delivery of purchased materials.
• Responsibility for Company Asset
  Has responsibility to ensure proper safe keeping and inventory of all materials at the stores.

COMPETENCIES

1. Educational Qualification

• Minimum of Mechanical Engineering Part II (Production Option)

2. Previous Experience

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in oil and fat industry

3. Technical Skills

• Knowledge of stores and stock management
• Ability to identify common plant equipment and parts
• Highly proficient in use of Microsoft excel for stock management
• Ability to drive forklift.
• SAP proficiency

4. Personality

•  Excellent level of integrity
•  Highly organized and trustworthy
•  Openness and willing to learn
