Credit Risk Officer

We are presently angling for fresh talents to join our dynamic team, as we continue to grow on all fronts.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse credit requests to evaluate risks, returns and feasibility of projects
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and corporate policies
  • Monitor potential and existing problem accounts
  • Follow-up on credit unit’s recovery action
  • Review and update credit risk control measures and/or policies

 

Required Skills or Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, from a recognised University degree, or relevant professional qualifications
  • At least three years banking experience, including credit evaluation, cash flow and project risk analysis
  • Knowledge of SMEs/MNCs corporate accounts
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all lending personnel
  • Ability to read and understand tax returns of complex entities
  • Understanding of loan documentation
  • Attention to detail, strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills

 

 

2.  Head of Recovery

Responsibilities:

  • To engage, manage and work to directly improve the activities of the credit administration
  • Determine what new accounts will be established for new customers, by reviewing and researching credit payment history, and obtain further information if necessary
  • Evaluate, provide analysis, conclusions and recommendations to determine credit line amounts, and communicate this information to customers and other team members of the company
  • Review and adjust credit lines on a regular basis, or when requested for existing accounts, and to revoke lines of credit upon receipt of external information pertinent to the financial strength account
  • Enforcing the company’s credit policy
  • Engaging in the conduct of credit investigations
  • Collecting delinquent accounts
  • Communicating all credit related issues to senior management

 

Required Skills or Experience

  • A recognised University degree or professional qualifications
  • At least three years banking experience, which includes credit evaluation, cash flow and project risk analysis
  • Knowledge of SMEs/MNCs corporate accounts is essential
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all lending personnel
  • Experience in credit recovery environment
  • Deep knowledge of required documentation and thorough knowledge of laws governing transactional relationships
  • Ability to read and understand tax returns of complex entities
  • Understanding of loan documentation
  • Personal efficacy and attention to detail

3. Head of Credit

We are presently angling for fresh talents to join our dynamic team, as we continue to grow on all fronts.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and recommending of credit requests
  • Maintenance of a good balance between returns and risks exposure
  • Leading a team of credit specialists, to ensure high standards of credit quality of the portfolio, by using various credit assessment tools
  • Engaging in the development, implementation, review and monitoring of various credit programmes
  • Providing training and coaching to continuously upgrade the competency of team members
  • Reviewing and developing company-wide credit approval policies and guidelines, as well as participating in ad-hoc projects of investigative or trouble-shooting nature on specific customer portfolio

 

Required Skills or Experience

  • Masters degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline, preferably with relevant professional qualifications
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years corporate banking experience in lending or related activities
  • Pass in GSE securities courses is an advantage
  • Credit evaluation experience, where complex credit appraisal and structuring are involved
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player who can manage efficiently in a changing environment
  • Experience in marketing is a definite advantage
  • Must be self-driven
