Izwe Africa Holdings is a specialist Financial Solutions Group targeting both the formally and informally employed markets with the primary offering of unsecured loans to the under-banked. Description

Job Title: Area Manager

Responsible for the supervision of all branches, more specifically:

• Management of Branch Managers and their respective staff.
• Conducting internal branch audits.
• Ensuring the adherence to all Izwe policies and procedures within Branches.
• Training and implementation of corrective measures with regards to Izwe policies and procedures, customer services and sales training.
• Driving sales in the branches (walk-ins and ISE) and management of each branches sales activities
• Training of staff and ISE’s in various facets of the business (Credit Ease, ISE recruitment, skills training and retention, sales, customer services etc)
• Ability to generate reports and statistics for executive management identifying trends, problems and provide regular written and verbal general feedback to head of operations
• Hold and chair regular meetings with Branch Managers and staff
• Occasionally be required to sit in and present finding to management
• Any other tasks allocated by management
• Identify specific branch operational weaknesses and threats and communicate with head office for providing strategic support when needed
• Keep abreast with branch statistics and external environment development and propose change in branch or regional strategy when needed
• Follow up on Branch performance and provide the needed support on a regular basis to meet set targets
• Quarterly reporting on performance and strategy of assigned region
• Ensure general compliance of processes and procedures in the branches by performing regular checks of files and preparing reports
• Identify new markets in the area for the purpose to the Head of Branch Operations

Qualification Required & Experience

Advertisement

• Higher National Diploma Additional Tertiary education would be preferred
• Experience in similar position will be advantageous
• Excellent knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word and Excel essential (Credit East experience preferred)

• Willingness to travel for long periods of time (up to 5 days continuously and 3 weeks per month in total every month)
