Job Description
Job Role
- Develop and implement Fraud Prevention Strategy in company in line with Group FRM framework.
- Undertake forensic audits in compliance with national and international standards
- Provide feedback on the forensic audits performed
- Prepare and monitor the budget of forensic auditing
- Maintenance of the whistleblower initiative.
- Assess the fraud risk status that is assigned to specific business unit objectives;
- Adjust the Fraud Prevention Strategy in order to meet the requirements of the audit committee
- Prioritize pro-active and re-active forensic auditing assignments to ensure that resources are used efficiently
- Perform ad hoc special assignments
- Where necessary, assist in the design of specific controls to improve fraud detection and prevention
- Provide consultation to management with regard to fraud risk management and control portfolios
- Provide expertise concerning the risks and controls of company with specific reference to economic crime
- Seek ways in which to add value and prevent losses to the client’s business and bring these to the client’s attention
- Provide regular feedback to line management on progress of work performed at their request
- Reduce the expectation gap between Forensic Auditing and operations.
- Manage external resources to perform forensic and other special audits
- Liaise with and assist the external auditors in a professional manner with regard to fraud and fraud prevention
- Report on a regular basis on the fraud and other economic crime risk and control environment and the progress with regard to fraud prevention, detection and investigation to GM BRM
- Prepare the audit committee report with regard to economic crime issues
- Confer regularly with GM BRM on the quality and timing of forensic auditing work that has to be performed
Required Skills or Experience
Educational Requirements:
- Degree in Criminal Justice and Forensic Auditing with Interviewing and statement taking skills with four years of investigation and forensic experience in a telecommunication industry as well as Proven record of conducting high profile investigations for corporate clients
- 2 years in a management position.
- Preferred additional qualification:
- CA /ACCA or LLB
- Postgraduate qualifications in Forensic Accounting
