Job Description

The focus of the role will be to provide advice to the business in relation to accounting, finance, tax and other compliance (Sarbanes Oxley) and internal control requirements. The successful candidate will be involved in:

Month end processing and reconciliations
Month and quarterly Business Activity Statement reports
Preparing the year-end statutory accounts
Managing the half-year and year-end audits
Liaise with regulatory bodies (SSNIT, VAT and IRS)
Preparation of financial analysis and reporting as required
Preparation of budget, forecasting, and cost incurred analysis, etc
Continuous process improvement initiatives within the company

Required Skills or Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,CPA/CA qualified
Preferably should have at least six (6) years of proven experience in a related role in the mining sector
Exceptional technical accounting and computer skills
Strong communication, project management and leadership skills are essential
