The Orijin brand has become a cornerstone to the success of GGBL both today and in the future. Recognising the complexity and diversity of this role, the Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in managing not only our existing portfolio but also our new portfolio pipeline going forward.
Job Description
Job Title: Marketting Manager – Orijjin Trademark
PURPOSE
Work with strong local and global networks in order to make our mainstream spirit portfolio (Orijin) the most asked for and loved mainstream brands in Africa.
Working closely with our Mainstream Spirit Director and team to ensure commercial excellence in our execution in service.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum education qualification of a Bachelor degree (any subject).
Minimum 7 years’ experience in brand management
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Relentlessly Delivering Performance – Has sense of urgency and commitment. Is able to manage detail while also driving the broader strategic agenda.
Developing concise and measurable KPIs (brand & activity), critically analyzing results and bringing clear insight and direction to mitigations and future plans for brand and portfolio growth
Stakeholder Management – Understanding the power and necessity of stakeholder management being an expert in the timely engagement of critical stakeholders from above market (GBT, IBC etc.), in GGBL (exec, peers, project team) through to external (Agency, FDA, KDs, Customers etc.).
Leading portfolio growth through consumer and category curiosity, bringing new ideas through insightful learnings and observed behaviors.
Leverage other market search and spin to maximize rapid transfer of best practice and minimize duplication.
Leader of talent – Evaluating marketing skills and competencies of the virtual team, initiating and implementing appropriate functional and leadership development plans that up-skill team competency in line with their personal growth plans
Holding tension for brilliant marketing creativity and execution – being the bastion for 10/10 delivery
Co-ordination of cross-functional teams, including Supply, Procurement, Logistics and Finance,
to deliver the annual ATL & BTL activity plans
Agency management – fresh, fluid and adaptive agency management – extending team accountabilities into their structure and embedding them in our process as critical partners. Through this process developing outstanding and impactful ATL & BTL strategies which are simple and easy to execute, ensuring successful implementation on time, in full.
Budget Owner – “acting as if it was your own” thinking, fully accountable for the Guinness A&P budget and how it is managed across the cross functional team.
