Job Title: Business Analyst

PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to support the project manager/director/ or business partner with excellence in the area of process, information and data analysis within the subject matter area of expertise. The person will be expected to drive methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a business the definition of requirements for improving processes and systems, reducing their costs, enhancing their sustainability, and the quantification of potential business benefits
the creation of viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the construction of information and communication systems.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential:

A university degree from a recognized university
Five (5) years business experience in business/customer facing roles.
Experience in delivering process or data analysis in a complex business project.

He/she must demonstrate the following functional capability levels:

Demonstrates a good knowledge of the organisation in terms of its core objectives and strategic goals, having a wide ranging knowledge of business activity.

Functional Governance
Demonstrate an understanding of Diageo Delivery Methodology (DDM), moving IS strategy into action, organisation and management of IS function, Security and integrity management (CARM), and Financial Management.

The role-holder for this position will be expected to drive significant business projects for Supply Move function. An understanding of order-to-cash process, logistics and 3PL processes for a consumer goods business, as well as demonstrated experience in handling SAP development/integration projects in these areas, is a key requirement for this position.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Gather the detailed business requirements and document how the business operates with a view to correctly translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Support the business partner in the development of a business case.
Support the definition of the process, information and data solution by working with the design partner or solution vendor and Diageo governance and architecture teams.
Leading the business through the process of testing through creation of test scripts, preparation of training material and subsequent knowledge transfer into the business.
When solution has been delivered, the Business Analyst moves to preventing or correcting defects, making changes, enhancements and maintenance of the system to enhance the value of the system.
