Job Description
Associate Director, Grants Management (Accra, Ghana -Req ID: 1379)
Position Responsibilities:
The Associate Director, Grants Management, under the direction of the Project Director, provides leadership, management and technical expertise in grants management for a medium to large sized program
Responsibilities include:
Develops quarterly work plans, including planned supervision and capacity-building trips
Revises program quarterly financial requests and reports from grantees to ensure compliance against program activties and contracts
Provides capacity-building assistance to grantees and monitors implementation of their individual capacity-building plans
Designs and maintain a grant-tracking systems and ensures that all grant documents are maintained according to program standards and policies
Prepares regular management reports on the grantees’ performance and disbursement status
Initiates regular meetings with government officials to ensure close linkages and program support
Ensures timely and proper close out of grants
Required Skills or Experience
BS/BA in public health or related field, and 7-9 years relevant experience with international development programs; or MS/MA in public health or related field, and 5-7 years relevant experience with international development programs
Overseas field experience required
English language skills required; fluency in French is a plus
