LCS is currently looking for a dynamic individual with vision and drive to join our team in the role as Human Resource Manager as we consolidate our position of being the leading community model American School for Ghana.
The Position: This is a mangement position reporting directly to the Head of School. The Human Resource Manager at LCS is responsible for working closely with Administrative Team to build and sustain a working community noted for its dedication, enthusiasm, professional growth opportunities, and commitment to serve its primary clients the students. Responsibilities of Human Resource Manager include are not limited to, the following broad areas:
Managing systems for hiring and training new employees
Working with the Ministry of Interior and Ghana Immigration Service to maintain appropriate visas and work permits for staff
Supporting senior management in developing training programs for support staff and faulty
Implementing effective feedback & evaluation systems for all employees
Coordinating and compiling systematic data collection with review of compensation packages
Coordinating logistics for overseas and local staff recruitment
Coordinating travel, moving and housing arrangements for overseas – hired staff
Serving as a liaison with employee health insurance providers for retirement plans
Serving as liaison staff and senior management in all personnel-related matters
The Package: The compensation package is competitive; Salary will depend on relevant qualifications and experience.
Required Skills or Experience
University degree with a major in Human Resource Management
Minimum of 5 years experience in comparable management role
Involving resource management, staff coodination and employee
Supervision
Proficiency in database maintenance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of immigration requirements, customs
Regulations, and labour laws
Proactive, high-energy work ethic
Excellent interpersonal skills
Commitment of the LCS Mission
Additional Preferences:
MBA or MSc
Prior work experience in a school or college
Experience working with local staff and expatriates from many countries/cultures
