Job Description
Job Title: Facility Operations Manager
Main One seeks to employ visionary, focused and effective individuals with sound track records and relevant abilities to fill the following position in Accra, Ghana: FACILITY OPERATIONS MANAGER (TECHNICAL)
Responsibilities
Supervise the functions pertaining to facility management of the Main One sites (CLS, PoP and Beach manhole);
Oversee building structure, operations and maintenance of all equipment and utility systems such as Power, Fire Protection System, Precision Cooling,
Comfort Cooling, UPS, Inverters, Rectifiers, Biometrics, etc.;
Ensure 100% availability of power and manage the diesel supply and replenishment process.
Ensure building and facilities are kept at high level of maintenance and that all SLAs are adhered to.
Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and dealing with the consequences
Ensure the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities are kept clean at all times and ensuring safety standards are adhered to by all staff
Project management, supervising and coordinating contracted projects as well as preparing documents for tenders where necessary
Calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
Check that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies
Procurement of work tools and spares for efficient running of the facilities
Preparation of method of operation manuals for all systems within the CLS and PoP
Coordinate the activities of all Power/Facility Engineers
Manage all SLA between Main One and her Service Contractors
Relate with the public power company to ensure reliability and quality of public power supply and ensure power related problems are fixed within the shortest possible time
Manage and control the maintenance cost by ensuring the Facility Operations Expenses are within agreed budgets
Manage and mentor subordinates for effective performance
Prepare accurate weekly/monthly project, operations reports
Develop and maintain, from time to time, strategies for continuous performance improvement.
Required Skills or Experience
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience
