Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG) has vacancies for well-organised, client-oriented and multi-tasked individuals with relevant qualifications and experience to occupy the under listed vacancy in the organisation.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager will include:
- Undertake efficient tendering, evaluation, placement and monitoring of a portfolio of contracts
- Assists in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors, to promote good procurement practice with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing standards and whole life costing
- Maintain an accurate filing system of general administrative documentation, proposals, tenders journals and catalogues
- Liaise with suppliers’ freight agents and any other parties involved to ensure orders are packaged and received as efficiently as possible
- Manage with the chief driver, the organisation’s fleet of vehicles
Required Skills or Experience
The person must:
- Have a Bachelor of Arts Degree or HND in Purchasing & Supply
- Be a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply
- Have operated in similar position for at least 3 yrs
- Have some knowledge of the procurement market both locally and internationally
- Be honest, hardworking and willing to do extra hours
- Have integrity and analytical skills
- These are local position. Interested Non-Ghanaians must therefore have the necessary legal permits required to work in Ghana
