Job Description

Job Location: The Job is located at the Tema Port

Job Summary:

Advertisement

Under the Procurement Manager, will be responsible among others for procuring spare parts and other logistics for MPS

Major Accountability among others:

  • Assist in the procurement process, obtaining quotes, preparation of bids, evaluation, and review of all purchase and service agreements
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and follow up timely delivery
  • Liaise with Technical to ensure that there are no stock outs leading to stoppage of operations
  • Maintain necessary data base of the purchases, suppliers as required from time to time
  • Attend to other procurement related matters

Qualification and experience:

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or First Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification from an accredited University
  • Possess a good knowledge in the application of procurement procedures of international and multinational organizations
  • A certificate in Purchasing and Supply would be an added advantage
  • At least three (3) years experience in procurement
  • Extensive understanding of Local and International market
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Proven negotiating skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Be a computer literate
