Job description
Based on our client’s plantation (1 200 hectares), you will lead various HR strategic projects in terms of human capital development and optimization.
Managing 1 000 local employees, your main responsibilities will be to:
– Pacify social tensions and find efficient solutions to various HR challenges (strikes, unions, absenteeism, lateness…);
– Build relationships and mediate discussions with the different local managers;
– Find innovative solutions in order to provide local transportation to the site and build appropriate housing on site;
– Work closely with the local HQ in Accra and with Europe.

Who we are looking for
As an HR professional, you have an academic background in HR management. You have successful hands-on HR experience, especially regarding the local population, and within the agro-industry or mining.
You have already solved social tensions and relationships with local unions, and you are well-versed in Ghanaian labor laws.

Possessing well-developed communication skills, you have an excellent relationship with your team.

This first assignment on site will allow you to handle all the HR strategy for the company in Ghana.
