The MicroEnsure Field Sales Lead is in charge of all the Field Sales Agents: recruiting new agents, managing and training agents and agent leaders, and ensuring high performance of the entire sales team. The Field Agent Manager is also responsible for managing and expanding the sales team.

Job Title: Field Sales Lead
Major Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing, training, and develop the entire Sales Team
- Responsible for hiring and expanding the sales agent recruitment process
- Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
- Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales agents
- Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
- Forecast sales, develop and test new sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
- Evaluate customers’ needs and build productive long lasting relationships
- Attend and assist in running sales meetings, events and trainings for sales agents
- Motivate sales agents to achieve high sales volumes
- Manage sales agent leaders and training them on sales leadership
- Collate feedback from sales team and escalate any customer feedback on the product
- Educate agents and hold them accountable on MicroEnsure policies
- Design and implement key market penetration strategy to increase product sales
- Identify key KPIs to measure sales performance
- Track, monitor, and report on sales agents’ performance and make appropriate adjustments
- Test different sales initiatives, track results, and recommend changes
- Implement new product marketing and sales strategies
Qualifications
- 4-year degree qualification required, preferably in a subject related to maths
- Proven sales supervisory experience for 4+ years, preferably in field sale management
- Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
- At least 4 years’ work experience, preferably in an international organisation
- Strong track record of back-office performance, including administrative management, reports, contracts, business processes, and the like
- Great interpersonal, communication, leadership and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of creating, managing and developing teams
- Direct experience of selection for recruitment
- Professional experience in insurance, consumer sales, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, a plus
- Experience in developing and improving operational delivery processes
- Self-motivated and driven
- Appreciation and concern for the plight of low-income people
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative; demonstrate self-motivation and energy, work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work as a team member with people across geographies and cultures
- Fluency in spoken and written English essential, local language knowledge preferred
- Navigation of Android-based mobile tablets; familiarity with mobile apps and digital web based platforms
- Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel or Access, but also Word and PowerPoint
